What We Believe
Who is God?
We believe in one God, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.
We believe God is triune, existing for all eternity in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Who is Jesus?
He is Lord and Messiah or Christ, the Son of God, the Only-begotten of God the Father, and is of the essence of the Father.
What did Jesus do?
For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven, was incarnate, was made human, was born perfectly of the virgin Mary by the Holy Spirit. By whom He took body, soul, and mind, and everything that is in man, truly and not in semblance. He suffered, was crucified, was buried, rose again on the third day, ascended into heaven and sat at the right hand of the Father.
He is to come with the glory of the Father, to judge the living and the dead; of His kingdom there is no end.
Holy Spirit:
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of life, who proceeds from the Father, who with the Father and the Son together is worshiped and glorified, and who spoke by the prophets. He fills every true believer in Jesus the Messiah and is still at work today and every day.
How are we saved or how do we receive eternal life?
We believe that salvation from sins aka eternal life is a free gift...
1. Offered by God's grace alone
2. Received through faith alone
3. In Jesus Christ identity, finished work on the cross, and bodily resurrection alone
4. To the glory of God alone
Mankind:
Mankind is inherently sinful and separated from an all holy and perfect God. All people have sinned, are guilty before God and deserving of His divine and eternal judgement. Because of this, salvation is only attainable by the sacrifice of Jesus, received and accepted by faith.
Faith vs. Works of Righteousness:
We believe that all who truly believe and have received salvation will live a fruit filled life that proves their faith.
Activity of Holy Spirit in the life of believers:
We believe that the Holy Spirit lives forever within all who are truly born again and that He continues to use believers to minister His gospel and miraculous power according to His will. He leads believers, comforts believers, lives in and through believers, refines them in sanctification, and marks them as sealed in their salvation until the day of redemption.
What is the Church?
We believe in one universal church consisting of all true, born again believers in Jesus Christ.
Scripture:
We believe the Bible to be the inspired word of God written. It is completely reliable and contains all that is needed to understand God, salvation, and train someone in righteously following God. Though we hold that the Holy Spirit is still leading his people, it is the view of Evangelism Global that no doctrine or scripture is being added or will be added to what has already been written. The Holy Spirit will direct individuals to live out the scriptures, applying them in specific was in our day to day life.
Eschatology:
We believe in in the resurrection of the dead, in the everlasting judgement of souls, the kingdom of heaven and everlasting life. Jesus will come again.
Core Values
Regular Expectation of Miracles
Living with the expectation that the normal Christian life will be regularly marked by the Holy Spirit working in miraculous ways. This fuels and guides us to pray and minister boldly.
Everyone Makes Disciples
All believers are called to make disciples. We aim to teach all that Jesus ahs taught us, leaving no trade secrets to the Christian life. In other words: die empty handed.
Scripture
All teachings and understanding of God comes primarily from Scripture. We will follow scripture over any contradictory teaching or tradition no matter what it may cost to obey it.
Prayer
Prayer is the foundation of most revivals, and the early church was committed to daily prayer. We also keep prayer as a core value to guide us and keep us humble before God as we continue to follow Jesus.
Everyone Ministers
It takes all of the body of Christ ministering to build up one another and reach the world. All our activities are designed with this core value in mind. How can we do things in such a way that we train and provide space for all believers to minister?
Pursue the Unreached
Believers are called to pursue those who do not know Jesus and who may be the overlooked in the world.
